Getting started
Is the consult call really free?
Yes. It’s a 30-minute, no-pressure conversation about your goals, your training history and what’s gotten in the way. There’s no obligation to sign up.
What happens after I send the inquiry?
Jill reads it and replies within two business days to set up your free consult call. If it’s a good fit, you’ll get a detailed intake form and a look at your baseline strength, and then your plan.
I’ve never lifted. Can I still start?
Absolutely. Plenty of clients start from zero. You’ll learn five basic movements with light weights and add load week by week. The first 30 days guide shows what that looks like.
Do I need a gym membership?
No. You can train at a gym, at home, or both. The equipment you need depends on your starting point and fitness level, so it’s worked out with you on the consult call and in your intake, and your program is written around what you have.
Coaching
Why work with a coach instead of a free program?
Because knowing what to do is rarely the problem. Most women stall when life gets busy, progress slows or something hurts. Coaching gives you a real person in your corner: check-ins every week at minimum, video form checks, messages between check-ins, and a plan that adjusts instead of you quitting it.
What does coaching include?
Strength training and nutrition, with a focus on protein. The foundation is the same for everyone: a lifting program built on the core movements and protein-first nutrition targets. What that looks like is different for every client, because the plan is built around your body, your schedule and your goals.
Do you coach online?
Yes. Coaching is online, so it works wherever you live: a program built for your gym or home setup, nutrition targets that fit your life, and regular check-ins as you progress.
Do I have to count calories or track macros?
The focus is protein first: about 1 gram per pound of your goal weight every day, not restrictive diets. How much tracking beyond that makes sense depends on you and your goals, and it’s part of your individual plan. Try the protein calculator to see your number.
Cost and commitment
How much does coaching cost?
It depends on what you need, so pricing is set individually and covered on your free consult call. Longer commitments come with discounts along the way.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Yes, three months. Real changes in strength and body composition take time, so six months is better and a year is ideal.
Health
Is lifting safe after menopause, or with osteoporosis?
For most healthy women, yes, when technique comes first and the weight goes up gradually. With osteoporosis or a past fracture, the plan is adapted and some moves are swapped out. Check with your doctor first. The lifting heavy guide covers what the research says.
I’m on hormone therapy (or considering it). Does that change anything?
Coaching works alongside whatever you and your healthcare provider decide. Jill asks about it on the inquiry and intake so she knows the full picture. Questions about the therapy itself belong with your prescriber.
Can you work around an injury or joint pain?
Often, yes. Get it checked by your doctor or physical therapist first, and mention it on your inquiry. Because every plan is individual, exercises are chosen and adapted around what your body can do now.
